Writing Process

When first given a topic for anything my first step is to think what could be the perfect thing to write about.I think of differnt ideas and I like to write a couple of them down on paper.Depending on what the topic is about I might use a personal experience related to what I am writing about. I sit in my room with the t.v on in the background and just start writing a little about each idea.It may not be the what I end up turning in but it helps me figure out how I want it to sound.Im more of a all over the place person when it comes to writing.I may start writing about one thing but end up not using it and change it all around.I like to stop in between my writing and just kind of relax because I always end up over thinking the work. After writing a little about every idea I start too look at read and use what sounds better.Once I am completly happy with my paper I re-write it.I re write just to make sure everything is spelled right and makes sense.I always seem to do the same thing each time I am given a essay. It's the easiest way for me to do it and get it done.

  5. Yes, Deyanira, you do have a good writing process. Most writers rarely write anything in order. In fact, many start in the middle, jotting down ideas here and there, and try to bring the best ideas together in a draft.

While everyone does have a different writing process, as long as there are plenty of rewriting opportunities, it's a good process.
